Description of Penrose Drains
Penrose Drain is a soft, flat, flexible rubber tube used as a surgical drain to prevent fluid buildup in a surgical site. Soft, latex rubber minimizes wound irritation and trauma. Available in a wide range of sizes for varied needs.
Suitable for gentle wound drainage by means of capillary suction and gravity, particularly in indications where the application of a low vacuum is contraindicating, but sufficient drainage performance requires.
