Disposable heparin cap, also known as an “injection stopper” or “yellow stopper”, is an auxiliary medical device that mainly provides access and injection ports for infusion. Heparin caps can be attached to infusion/transfusion sets for adding drugs and can be connected with an IV catheter to inject heparin for anticoagulation. It consists of a gland, rubber plug, and locking conical joint.
